Our business is the Provision of Engineering Solutions and Technical Consultancy Services, Supply Chain Management Services, Manpower Services for Onshore, Offshore Oil and Gas sector, Energy, Mining and General Industry.

To attain the above commitment, Sykes and Partners will implement an integrated health, safety, environment and quality management system aimed at;

• Demonstrating and promoting leadership commitment in preventing injury and/or ill health to our personnel, preventing pollution of the environment and delivering quality products and services.
• Complying with all legal and other requirements relevant to our operations.
• Developing and maintaining a system of identifying, evaluating, mitigating, documenting and monitoring HSEQ risks.
• Setting objectives and targets to promote a proactive HSEQ culture within the organisation to ensure continual improvement in HSEQ performance.
• Empowering and supporting personnel, suppliers and subcontractors with the right to stop any work activity or operation when conditions or practices are deemed unsafe;
• Ensuring active consultation and participation of employees and interested parties on HSEQ management at the workplace.
• Maintain alertness and readiness of the organisation to prevent and/or respond to and manage all HSEQ incidents and emergencies effectively.

Aware of the risks inherent in the activities we manage, the company strives to promote Health and Safety measures as a mutual objective for management and employees at all levels. We are fully committed to implementing the Health, Safety Environment and Quality management system covering all of our business activities, based on the principles of continuous improvement.

Our Objectives are to:

• Encourage good housekeeping within the workplace and undertake risk assessments to prevent any injury and maintain safe and healthy working conditions while taking into account any statutory requirements
• Provide training and instruction to enable employees and third parties to perform their work safely and efficiently
• Adhere to minimum PPE requirements in carrying out any task
• Ensure that equipment under the company’s control is kept safe
• Ensure that employees suffering any injury – however trivial – obtain immediate treatment
• Ensure materials and substances are safely stored, handled and transported as per their material safety data sheet
• Protect the environment through pollution prevention, monitor and mitigate the negative environmental impacts which could be generated by our activities and promote sustainable development.

To achieve these objectives our actions are based on the following principles:

• Empowering our employees so that they can effectively perform their key role in the fulfillment of the company’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policy;
• Empowering employees to stop work if scope of work changes or an unsafe condition is identified;
• Promoting a pro-active management approach through active participation, visible commitment and involvement of line management and employees;
• Sharing these values with our clients, partners, suppliers and subcontractors;
• Planning, implementing, reviewing and continually improving our Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System in compliance with the ISO 14001 ; ISO 45001 and ISO 9001 standards, codes of practice, laws and regulations in countries where we will operate; these certification processes have been initiated.
• Continuously communicating the level of HSEQ performance compared to our objectives to all relevant parties;
• Raising sustainable development awareness’ concepts within the company and also through the involvement of stakeholders’ consultation process.
